Best Luggage for Train Travel in Italy?

I’m planning a train trip through Italy and I’m wondering about the best luggage options. With so many beautiful cities to visit and frequent stops along the way, it’s important to have luggage that’s both stylish and practical. I’m considering factors like size, weight, and durability.

I’ve heard that lightweight suitcases or good travel backpacks are popular choices, but I’d love to hear about your personal experiences. Has anyone found a specific brand or style that works well for train travel in Italy? How do you manage comfort and mobility when hopping between city transfers and train platforms? Looking forward to your insights!

I did a similar trip last year and ended up with a medium-sized suitcase on wheels. It was pretty light and durable, but I also regretted not getting a good backpack as a carry-on. It just makes moving through crowded stations a lot easier!

I’ve done train travel in Italy a few times, and honestly, a good backpack is way easier than a suitcase. You can just throw it on your back and navigate those crowded platforms better. I used a lightweight North Face pack, and it held up great while still fitting in the overhead bins on the trains.
