Choosing Hidden Gems in Spain: Tips and Recommendations

Planning a trip to Spain can feel overwhelming with so many popular destinations. If you’re like me and want to explore places a little off the typical tourist path, you’ll know it can be a challenge to pick the right spots. I’m currently torn between a few lesser-known towns I’ve found in hidden gem guides and could use some advice.

One town I’ve been considering is Ronda, famous for its dramatic cliffs and iconic bridge. I’ve heard wonderful things about its charm. However, I also came across Cadaqués, a small village known for its stunning coastline and rich artistic history. When it comes to finding these hidden gems, how do you usually choose? Do you rely on travel blogs, personal recommendations, or just your own adventures? Also, are there specific towns or experiences that have really impressed you?

Ronda is super charming, but don’t sleep on Cadaqués! Its beach vibe and those colorful houses are something else. I usually just check out local food spots and see what people are raving about when I’m there. Have you thought about checking out smaller towns nearby too? They can surprise you!

I totally get that struggle! Ronda is beautiful, but Cadaqués has such a unique vibe with its art scene and views. I usually stumble upon hidden gems through Instagram or by talking to locals when I get there. Have you tried checking out social media for lesser-known spots, or do you prefer guidebooks?
