Has anyone explored Iceland's hidden waterfalls?

I’m getting ready for a trip to Iceland and can’t help but be excited about its breathtaking landscapes. I’ve recently heard about some hidden waterfalls that are less known than the famous ones like Gullfoss and Seljalandsfoss. Has anyone here ventured to these off-the-beaten-path spots?

I’ve come across names like Gljúfrabúi and Múlagljúfur, which supposedly offer stunning views without the usual crowds. I’m curious about their accessibility and what your experiences were like. Were they worth the trek?

Additionally, any advice on the best times to visit or tips on how to reach these locations would be greatly appreciated! What do you think?

Totally check out Gljúfrabúi—it’s super close to Seljalandsfoss but way less crowded. The short hike to get there is so worth it, especially when you see that hidden view. I went in late summer, and the weather was perfect. Just be ready to get a bit wet!

I checked out Gljúfrabúi last summer, and honestly, it was pretty slick but not as hidden as I thought. The hike is a bit tricky—some scrambling involved—but definitely worth it for the view! Just be ready for wet shoes if you wanna get close to the falls. Best time seems to be late spring when everything’s really green.
