How do you use a bullet journal for planning your travels?

Planning a big trip can be really overwhelming, especially when I have so many places I want to visit. I’ve been considering using a bullet journal specifically for my travel plans. The idea of keeping everything—like itineraries and local recommendations—in one spot sounds great, but I’m unsure how to get started.

For my upcoming road trip in Portugal, I’d like to track my routes, accommodation details, and daily activities as I explore new places. Has anyone here used a bullet journal for travel planning? What layouts or tips have you found helpful?

Does using a bullet journal help you stay organized and enhance your travel experience? What challenges have you faced while using it?

I started using a bullet journal for my last trip to Japan, and it was a game-changer! I set up a simple map layout for each city, jotting down must-see spots and local eats. It really helped me visualize my route and not miss anything. Only downside was keeping it neat while on the go—definitely got a little messy by the end!

I’ve been using a bullet journal for my trips lately, and it’s super helpful! For my last trip to Italy, I had a page for each city with my must-see spots, restaurant ideas, and even packing lists. It helps me keep everything in one place, but the challenge is finding time to update it while traveling. It’s worth it, though!
