Top Hiking Trails in Vancouver for All Skill Levels

With an abundance of stunning hiking trails around Vancouver, it can be challenging to pick the perfect one for your outdoor adventure. From breathtaking coastal views to serene forest paths, there’s truly something for everyone. What trails do you recommend for both seasoned hikers and beginners?

Are there specific hikes that you find exceptionally beautiful or enjoyable? I’d love to hear about trails that feature unique elements like waterfalls or scenic viewpoints. Also, if you know of any lesser-known trails that typically attract fewer crowds, please share!

What are your all-time favorites and what makes them special? Any tips on the best times to visit or what to expect along the way would be greatly appreciated!

Check out Grouse Grind for a solid challenge and amazing views at the top, but if you want something easier, try the VanDusen Botanical Garden trails for a beautiful stroll. For fewer crowds, I recommend the Lighthouse Park trails—gorgeous coastal scenery and some cool viewpoints! Early morning is the best time to avoid the rush.

For beginners, Quarry Rock is a must-try! It’s got fantastic views of the water and is pretty manageable in terms of difficulty. Plus, it’s not super crowded if you go early in the morning. Another great one is the Grouse Grind, but be ready for a workout! It’s steep but the views from the top are so worth it.
