What are the must-see sights in Great Smoky Mountains?

I’m really excited about my upcoming trip to the Great Smoky Mountains this summer! However, I’m having a hard time narrowing down the must-see sights. There are so many trails and viewpoints to choose from! I’ve heard amazing things about Cades Cove and Clingmans Dome, but I’m also curious if there are any hidden gems I should check out.

For those who have explored the area, what are your favorite spots? Do you have any tips for making the most of my visit? Are there particular sights that are especially breathtaking at certain times of the day? I’d love to hear your recommendations!

You can’t miss Laurel Falls; it’s a pretty easy hike and the waterfall is stunning, especially in the morning light. Also, check out the Roaring Fork Motor Trail—it’s a nice drive with some cool spots to stop. Just get there early to avoid crowds!

Cades Cove is awesome, especially for spotting wildlife in the early morning. If you’re into waterfalls, check out Laurel Falls; it’s pretty easy to hike and super pretty. You might also want to try the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail—it has some cool historic buildings and nice views without too much effort. Just definitely bring plenty of water!
