What’s the train travel time from Rome to Naples?

I’m planning a trip from Rome to Naples soon and I’m trying to figure out the train options. I’ve heard that taking the train is one of the best ways to travel between these two cities, but I’m curious about how long the journey actually takes.

For those of you who have made this trip, how long did your train ride take? Did you choose the high-speed train or a different service? Also, any advice on when to book tickets or the best times to avoid crowds would be really appreciated. I’d love to hear about your experiences!

The high-speed train usually takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes, pretty quick! Definitely book in advance if you can, it’ll save you some cash. Early mornings or late afternoons tend to be less crowded. Enjoy your trip!

I took the high-speed train last year and it was about 1 hour and 10 minutes. Super fast and pretty comfortable! I’d recommend booking a few days in advance to snag better prices, and try to go early in the morning or later in the evening to avoid the crowds.
