When is the Best Time to Visit Japan for Great Weather?

I’m planning a trip to Japan, and as an outdoor enthusiast, I’m really excited about exploring its beautiful natural spots. I’ve heard that spring is fantastic for cherry blossoms, but I’ve also read that autumn showcases stunning fall foliage.

Living in Vancouver, I usually coordinate my travels with the seasons, so I want to make sure I visit when the weather is pleasant. What have your experiences been like during different times of the year in Japan? Which months do you think are best for outdoor activities and exploring local neighborhoods? I’d love to hear your insights and recommendations!

I went to Japan last fall and the weather was perfect for hiking. The colors in the parks were amazing, and it wasn’t too hot like summer. Spring for the cherry blossoms is awesome too, but I think early November is underrated for outdoor stuff!

Honestly, both spring and autumn are amazing for different reasons! If you’re into outdoor activities, I’d say late April through May is perfect – the weather’s warm, and the cherry blossoms are still around. But fall is also stunning, especially in November when the leaves are vibrant. Have you thought about which season fits your vibe more?
