Thinking about a trip to the Canary Islands this year and wondering when to go? Spring is often recommended for its mild weather and fewer tourists, while summer attracts those looking for sunshine and beach activities. However, as I’m on a budget, I’m also considering how to save on accommodation costs.

I’m particularly interested in how the weather varies across the different islands. Are some islands more favorable during certain seasons? Additionally, any tips on how to dodge the heavy tourist crowds would be incredibly helpful. For those who have visited, what seasons did you find most enjoyable, and what would you suggest for getting the most out of the experience?

Late spring or early fall is usually a sweet spot since the weather is still nice but the crowds are thinner. I found that staying in a less touristy area on Tenerife saved me a ton on accommodations, plus you get a more authentic vibe. Definitely check out the local festivals too; they’re a blast and usually don’t attract as many tourists!
